Volunteer

Hospice Volunteers are regular people who enjoy making a real difference in the lives of others. They are loyal and sensitive individuals dedicated to the mission of hospice. Our volunteers have a profound respect for the complex needs of patients and their families. You can read a story about volunteering with us here.

Who Qualifies To Become a Volunteer?

Anyone who is committed, trustworthy and willing to lend a hand. We provide volunteer training at no cost. Training gives volunteers confidence to do their work—we clarify the volunteer’s role and discuss all aspects of our care. You set your own schedule and pace in our program.

Volunteer Positions are offered regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, national origin, disability, age, veteran’s status or sexual orientation.

Volunteer Training

It is a requirement that all hospice volunteers complete training. It provides knowledge about working with seriously ill patients and their families. As a result, volunteers know what to anticipate and what they might observe while volunteering. Hospice is unique since our program helps with physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Should You Volunteer?

If you you’d like to help make a difference and believe in our mission—YES! We love our volunteers and their work is greatly appreciated. It’s a wonderful and rewarding experience. You can read about being a volunteer here.
